Homophobic attack in Misiones: “We hate kids like you”

A group of four men broke into a man's home while he was sleeping and savagely beat him. They were his neighbors in a neighborhood in the city of Posadas. The victim was hospitalized and is now afraid to return home. Once he recovers, he will file a complaint with the National Institute Against Discrimination, Xenophobia, and Racism (INADI). The attackers, aged between 18 and 27, were arrested.

Luis Larraín: "I want to be the first gay activist to reach Congress"

Women tell him he looks like Ricky Martin. He came out at 23 and rose to fame as a model in a campaign for Sebastián Piñera, a politician he criticizes whenever he can. Born into a conservative and traditional Chilean family, he lives with kidney disease, which has led him to clash with the pharmaceutical industry on several occasions. He has been an activist for sexual diversity for five years and wants to be the first LGBTQ+ person elected to Congress. Today he is an independent candidate for deputy.

Peter Pank: “Sexist attitudes exist in all musical genres”

Wearing a black bodysuit, lace stockings, and Mickey Mouse ears, Peter Pank flaunts his sculpted physique and sings, “I want to be a girl.” Below the stage, a party of young people dances with eyeliner. The scene seems straight out of the Parakultural of the 80s. But no, it was just a few weeks ago that he and his synthpop-dark-techno band, “Los chicos perdidos” (The Lost Boys), celebrated their first 10 years together.

The Chilean “Che of the gays” turns 20

Victor Hugo Robles is a renowned Chilean journalist and a long-time activist for sexual diversity. In 1997, after news broke of the recovery of Che Guevara's body, Robles decided to appropriate that body and imprint upon it his own revolution: a libertarian, dissident, and sexual one. Thus was born a figure who continues to question and challenge the established order through the struggle for human rights.
