Banco Galicia is violating Argentina's AIDS law, which guarantees confidentiality regarding personal information, and Banco Supervielle denied two mortgage loans to people living with HIV. These are not isolated cases, but they rarely receive attention. Due to issues like these, as well as complaints about labor and healthcare systems, the Huésped Foundation receives approximately 2,700 complaints annually.

#PublicConsultation: LGBTI policies stalled in the region, according to complaints.

At the Fifth LGBTI Public Consultation, convened by the Institute of Public Policies on Human Rights (IPPDH) of MERCOSUR, more than 70 organizations from the region analyzed and debated how states protect the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex people. Stagnation and setbacks were discussed, and concrete proposals were made for more and better public policies that guarantee these rights.  

Public consultation: How to guarantee the rights of LGBTI people in Mercosur?

Civil society organizations and social movements are invited to the 5th Public Consultation of the Social Participation Forum, taking place on August 17th in Buenos Aires. This initiative of the Institute of Public Policies on Human Rights (IPPDH) of MERCOSUR will be held at its headquarters, the Memory and Human Rights Space (ExESMA). Córdoba marched for the first time to say #StopTransvesticide

Two years after the murder of Laura Moyano, hundreds of people marched yesterday in downtown Córdoba to demand justice for Laura and to say #StopTheMurderingOfTransPeople: the State is responsible. LGBTQ+ activists, along with family members and neighbors, marched in the afternoon to the Patio de Olmos, where they read a jointly drafted statement, which we reproduce below.
