The anti-rights groups calling themselves “pro-life”—an alliance of Catholics and Evangelicals created to stop the abortion legalization bill—demonstrated yesterday in Buenos Aires and several provinces against the Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE) law. Among their demands, they stated their intention to repeal the Gender Identity Law and expressed their opposition to all LGBT rights, displaying signs that read “Don’t make my children gay,” among other slogans.
From the stage of the march called "DON'T MESS WITH MY CHILDREN" they have just demanded the repeal of the gender identity law.

In the capital, the march proceeded along Entre Ríos Avenue to Congress, where the closing rally took place in front of thousands of people identified as "Los Celestes" (the light blue ones, in contrast to the green of the movement advocating for legal abortion) with the slogan "Don't Mess With My Children."
The "Don't Mess With My Children" campaign is a movement of parents, funded by religious groups, that originated in Peru in 2016 to oppose sex education in schools based on what they call "gender ideology."

In Argentina, they came to light on September 4th, in a joint session of the Education and Family, Women, Children and Adolescents committees of the Chamber of Deputies, to prevent the approval of a bill to amend the Comprehensive Sex Education Law 26.150. The amendment seeks to guarantee the mandatory implementation of Comprehensive Sex Education in all educational institutions in the country, both public and private, since so far only nine provinces have adopted the law.

With pink and light blue balloons – because, they say, “you’re born a woman or a man” – they gathered to condemn the proposed amendment to Law 26.150 on Comprehensive Sex Education, which they say promotes an “unnatural and totalitarian gender ideology.”
“Supported by the pro-life movement, by pro-life political parties, and by all good people, we’re holding this family gathering because we want an Argentina free of gender ideology,” said Nancy García, representative of the “Don’t Mess With My Children” movement.

“For medicine, there are only two genders: male and female,” said Gabriel Flores Ciani of Amor en Acción.
“They tell us we are a giant that has awakened. And it’s true. We are on the side of truth, because science and biology are on our side,” added Ayelén Alancay of Fundación Más Vida.
A group of parents held a sign that read: “Boy and Girl – Man and Woman. God created us, and God doesn’t fail. He is perfect.”
