Homophobia in Buenos Aires: Pizza shop employees beat a gay couple.

On Sunday, October 21st, at 11:00 PM, Tomás and Joaco, a couple dating, were having dinner at the pizzeria Academia della Pizza in the Palermo neighborhood of Buenos Aires. They say they were sitting together on the same side of the table when the manager told them, "This is a family place, so please behave yourselves." They responded, "We're family too," and left the establishment. On the sidewalk, they were attacked by two other employees. Organizations are calling for a protest outside the establishment's doors for next Saturday, October 29th.

“Benito Cerati has always been me, as obvious as that may sound. I’ve always had that inner drive to be who I am, for better or for worse. I’m a very emotional person; my tastes and preferences always have to do with a high level of sensitivity.” The 24-year-old musician, frontman of the band Zero Kill since 2013, and a social media activist, thus settles the matter of his identity.

Born into a conservative and traditional Chilean family, he lives with kidney disease, which has led him to clash with the pharmaceutical industry on several occasions. He has been an activist for sexual diversity for five years and wants to be the first LGBTQ+ person elected to Congress. Today he is an independent candidate for deputy.
