#Argentina: Homophobia investigated in a department of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Buenos Aires

Following the circulation of a highly homophobic slide on social media yesterday, the Student Center of the Faculty of Medicine (CECIM) at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) filed a complaint today with the Department of Violence and Discrimination Reporting to condemn the slide and request an investigation into what occurred during the summer lecture of the legal medicine course on February 15th. They also ask anyone who witnessed the lecture to come to the Nuevo Espacio table on Monday, February 19th, to support the complaint.

Homophobia: They were violently thrown out of a bar in Necochea for kissing

In the early hours of Sunday, February 11, Marcelo Mangini was at the Tom Jones bar in Necochea (Buenos Aires province) with friends. They were dancing with a young man and started kissing when, according to Marcelo's account to Presentes, the owner approached them and said, "It's all good with you, but slow down with the kissing if you want to stay." A short time later, two bouncers forcibly removed them from the bar.

#Mendoza On public radio, a pastor called for people to report homosexuals: he was the one reported.

Víctor Doroschuk, an evangelical pastor from San Rafael with over 10,000 followers and a daily column on public radio station LV4, stated on air that homosexuality is a sin that “leads to death.” More than two hundred people signed a complaint filed with the National Institute Against Discrimination, Xenophobia and Racism (INADI), and he is scheduled to attend a conciliation hearing on November 23. He was also reported to the Ombudsman's Office for his remarks.

Shock in Honduras: Four LGBT people murdered

Three people who had been reported missing by their families a few days ago were found murdered Friday night in a swamp in Puerto Cortés, a coastal tourist city on the Caribbean coast in northern Honduras.
