Caring for the community is everyone's responsibility

What kind of information do they provide?

The Secretary of Indigenous Affairs (Ministry of Social Development) has strengthened preventive measures against Covid-19 in Indigenous communities, especially in the northern region of Salta province, in conjunction with the Provincial Institute of Indigenous Affairs (IPPIS) and with the collaboration of the Special Institute 7215 Secondary Home and Hospital Education Program. They are raising awareness and disseminating information on preventative measures and hygiene protocols (handwashing, mask use, social distancing). This has involved creating informational materials and conducting in-person visits to the communities.

Who is it aimed at?

To the indigenous communities, especially from the north of the province of Salta, and the corresponding language-speaking communities (Wichi, Guarani, Chane, Toba, Chulupí, Tapiete).
