Observations

Tierra Viva accompanied Indigenous communities in filing complaints about the absence of the State, which only became present five weeks after the quarantine began. They worked in partnership with other organizations to deliver food and hygiene products, and also collaborated with firefighters in Concepción to provide water donations due to the severe drought affecting the Chaco region. Tierra Viva is a non-governmental organization that works to defend the human rights of Indigenous peoples in the Paraguayan Chaco. They provide legal counsel to the Enxet, Sanapaná, Angaité, and Qom peoples.
