At Presentes we opened our newsroom (CABA) to convene a Workshop on good practices in HIV and AIDS communication.
It is aimed at communicators, journalists, editors, activists, students, lawyers, and researchers in Argentina. It is an in-person event, free of charge, but requires prior registration.

Workshop Objectives
Coordinated by Lucas Fauno Gutiérrez and María Eugenia Ludueña, its objectives are to provide tools to improve coverage in order to improve access to prevention for the entire population, contribute to building a better quality of life and build bridges between communities to fight against stigma.
Contents Basic
-Basic definitions and proper use of these terms
-Stigmas, prejudices, and commonplaces: the main mistakes to avoid. Myths, criminalization, and misinformation
-Expansion of sources
-Narrative analysis
-Towards the construction of good practices
-What does HIV reveal about our entire society?

Lucas Fauno Gutiérrez
Journalist, writer, and human rights activist. He has published his work in the Washington Post, BuzzFeed , and Página/12, among other national and international media outlets. He co-hosts the radio program Buen Día Fin del Mundo on FM La Tribu. He has given two TEDx talks. He was awarded Amnesty International's "Voices That Transform 2024" prize. In 2025, he published his first book, Nadie te enseña a ser puto (Nobody Teaches You to Be a Faggot), with Editorial Astronauta Ruso.

María Eugenia Ludueña
Journalist, with a degree in Communication Sciences (University of Buenos Aires). Professor of Narratives in Rights in the Master's Program in Communication and Human Rights at the Faculty of Journalism of the National University of La Plata (UNLP), of the Seminar on Gender, Communication and Human Rights at the Metropolitan University for Education and Labor (UMET), and of Communication and Human Rights at the National University of Pilar. She has collaborated on training programs and coordinated classes in social organizations and institutions in Latin America and Spain, such as the Gabo Festival.
