Claudia Pía Baudracco was an Argentinian trans activist and militant. Born on October 22, 1970, in Venado Tuerto (Santa Fe), she was a leading advocate for the Gender Identity Law in Argentina. However, Claudia Pía passed away on March 18, 2012 , without a national identity document recognizing her gender identity. The Gender Identity Law was approved two months after her death, in May 2012. In tribute to her activism, March 18 is commemorated as Transgender Rights Day.
