Hundreds of thousands of people participated in the 31st LGBTIQ+ Pride March in Buenos Aires, in a day marked by its massive turnout. A fair, festivities, and shows accompanied the march from Plaza de Mayo to the National Congress.

“Comprehensive Trans Law Now” was one of the most repeated demands by organizations and demonstrators at the march, which carried the slogan “The debt is owed to us.” Voices were also raised to demand justice for Tehuel de la Torre, reparations for other trans and travesti victims of institutional violence, and an end to transphobic murders. Updating the Anti-Discrimination Law and “Yes to inclusive language” were other demands, in a year marked by the rise of hate speech in Argentina and the region.

The event drew participants ranging from activists to celebrities like Florencia de la V and Moria Casán. Government officials also attended, including the Minister of Women, Gender and Diversity, Ayelén Mazzina, and the head of the National Institute Against Discrimination, Xenophobia and Racism (INADI), Victoria Donda.
Diversity was celebrated in the streets of Buenos Aires with all colors, ages and flags, with the strength of non-binary identities and families who are increasingly joining this Pride celebration with festivity and struggle.
