We work in the areas of training, research, community engagement, and political advocacy to advance the recognition of protections and guarantees for all people.

FACTOR 4

Factor 4 is a digital media outlet founded in March 2020 with the purpose of offering an independent and alternative source of information. With a focus and personality that aims to reach an audience eager for truthful information, Factor 4 is based in Guatemala City, the capital of Guatemala. However, one of our core principles is coverage and perspectives from the regions. We address topics related to the defense of human rights, the environment, land rights, the LGBTI+ community, migration, culture, inequalities, investigative journalism, and other issues, thus contributing to the possibility of a more inclusive and informed society.

PRESENT AGENCY

A regional digital media outlet specializing in gender, diversity, and human rights. We cover news, stories, and human rights violations against LGBTI+ people, human rights defenders, Indigenous women, and migrants from an intersectional perspective. We report on these struggles and seek to influence public opinion, combating discrimination and disinformation. We also strive to improve journalistic practices as a way to fight discrimination and contribute to building pluralistic and democratic communication.

We are Present

We are committed to a type of journalism that delves deeply into the realm of the world and offers in-depth research, combined with new technologies and narrative formats. We want the protagonists, their stories, and their struggles to be present.
