#9M [IN PHOTOS] The feminist march in Buenos Aires

Thousands of women, lesbians, bisexuals, transvestites, trans and non-binary identities marched in Buenos Aires against sexist violence.

Thousands of women, lesbians, bisexuals, transvestites, trans people, and non-binary individuals marched on March 9th in a day of action for International Women's Day (March 8th). In Argentina, feminist movements called for a strike and took to the streets to demand rights.

Among the main demands were legal abortion, an end to gender-based violence, transvesticide, transfemicide, and femicide. There were also demands for comprehensive healthcare for trans people, a quota for transvestite and transgender employment, a safe haven for trans children, and the inclusion of non-hegemonic sexual orientations and gender identities in Comprehensive Sexuality Education.

During the march for the #NationalWomen'sStrike, the trans and travesti community high school @BachiTransMocha , an institution that has yet to begin the academic year due to a lack of resources. They continue to demand a response from the government.
