Ana Fornaro, co-director of Agencia Presentes, spoke on the radio program "No se puede vivir del amor" (You Can't Live on Love) on La Once Diez and reviewed the week's main LGBT+ news stories in the region: the situation in Mexico and Central America regarding LGBT+ people, migration, and hate crimes; the complaint filed by two trans women who were denied medical attention in hospitals in Pilar, Buenos Aires province; the attack by police in Salta on a trans woman in broad daylight on the street; the attempt in Uruguay, through a petition drive, to hold a referendum to overturn the Comprehensive Trans Law; and some good news in Argentina: the court dismissed the charges against the five trans women accused of drug dealing, considering, as requested by a federal prosecutor, their structural vulnerability.
