One of the topics discussed during the meeting was the campaign for the Comprehensive Law for Trans People. In turn, journalist Alejandra Casablanca gave her a t-shirt from the organization Mothers and Relatives of the Detained and Disappeared, and told her about the group and the meaning of the inscription "We are all relatives" on the garment, with which Davis then also posed to be photographed.

The activist's tour includes two events open to the public. Tomorrow, at 6:00 p.m., she will give a keynote address at the Solís Theatre, where she will receive the Montevideo City Council's award as a distinguished visitor. Tickets for the theatre are already sold out, but the lecture can be followed live on TV Ciudad, Radio Uruguay, and the Facebook page of the Horizonte de Libertades project, one of the organizations responsible for Davis's visit to Uruguay. On Saturday at 6:00 p.m., she will participate in a rally on the esplanade of the University of the Republic, under the slogan "Without racism, a better democracy." There, she will give a speech and receive an honorary . The event will close with performances by Rubén Rada and the rap group Se Armó Kokoa.
