Luis Lillo, 24, was attacked on Saturday the 9th at 9:30 a.m. while waiting for a bus at the intersection of Alameda and San Antonio, heading home to La Pintana, Santiago, Chile. Luis is gay, and his attackers harassed and punched and kicked him, shouting "depraved" and "degenerate." The Movement for Homosexual Integration and Liberation (Movilh), along with his family and officers from the 50th Police Station in San Joaquín, reported the incident.
“The attackers’ intention was to force him off the bus and stab him, according to their own threats. It was an extreme situation. As an organization, we express our strongest condemnation and announce that we will invoke the Zamudio Law,” Movilh added, along with releasing the video of the attack.
Presentes contacted Movilh, who said that Luis was in shock and does not want to speak to the media.
The young man was treated at Posta 3, where it was established that he suffered a nasal fracture and various bruises, after which he will have to undergo tests to determine any further damage.
