Ana Fornaro, co-director of Agencia Presentes, spoke with Valeria Licciardi on Franco Torchia's program about the week's diverse news in the region. They discussed the situation of LGBT people in the migrant caravan in Central America and the struggle of a lesbian couple to register their son under the co-maternity system in the province of Buenos Aires.
In addition, there were three pieces of good news: the great turnout for the workshops on tools for journalists and activists in Tucumán, held in conjunction with Wikimedia Argentina as part of the Wiki LGBT Human Rights program; winning the Latin American comic book award "Poder Trans" with a comic about the trial for the transphobic murder of Diana Sacayán, illustrated by Florencia Capella; and the launch in San Pedro of the book "Soy Alexa" (I Am Alexa), created by students of Secondary School No. 11 and published by Editorial Chirimbote with the support of Presentes. The book tells the story of a trans skater and activist from the city and will be used as a school resource.
