LGBTI+ migrants in the caravans from Honduras to the United States
Many people in the migrant caravans heading to the US border are LGBT+. A Honduran trans activist explains why and how to help them.

Today, some 500 migrants began a new caravan to reach the United States from Honduras. In 2018 there were three caravans, and among them were many LGBT+ people fleeing discrimination and persecution in their country.
From Mexico City, trans activist Jessica Marjane Durán Franco explains the situation of these people: "Within the violence that migrants specifically experience, LGBTI+ people are the most attacked."
