Presentes director María Eugenia Ludueña spoke with Franco Torchia about the week's LGBT news: the ruling by the Mar del Plata Criminal Court No. 1 in the femicide of Lucía Pérez and the women's and LGBTQ+ strike on Wednesday, December 5th. They also analyzed the ruling in the case of the homophobic attack on young rugby player Jonathan Castellari, which sentenced the seven attackers to three years of probation and community service: "It was the first time that hatred based on sexual orientation was considered an aggravating factor." The Intersex Law project, drafted by activist and Intersex Justice leader Mauro Cabral and the organization Abosex, was also discussed. And the condemnation of the attacks and harassment against Tiziana, a trans girl from Salta, by anti-rights groups, journalists, and Twitter users was addressed. Finally, they reflected on December 1st, World AIDS Day, and what it means to live with HIV.
