The IACHR plans to prepare a report on this topic to reflect the current situation of transgender people in the hemisphere and issue specific recommendations to States. The information it gathers to prepare the report will be key to its success. The topics covered include: the right to work, health, education, housing, social security, and culture.

This same consultation process was carried out in 2013 for the preparation of the report on violence against LGBTI people published in 2015. This report was foundational in the work of the IACHR and the participation of civil society was of utmost importance.
It is not necessary to generate specific materials for submission. All information that has already been published or systematized is also extremely useful. It is important that, as far as possible, the information be as up-to-date as possible.
The call for proposals is open to organizations and the general public. Organizations do not need to be registered or have an international presence. The call is broad, and all information will be helpful.
