#LivingWithHIV Bicho and I: Take a hug

Adhering to treatment means taking medication every day, following a schedule, and being consistent. But in addition to the logistics, thinking about side effects, going to pick it up month after month, and so many other factors, there's the emotional aspect.

By Lucas Fauno Gutiérrez (script) and Jon Amarillo (illustrations). Adhering to treatment means taking medication every day, following a schedule, and being consistent. But besides the logistics, thinking about side effects, going to pick it up month after month, and so many other factors, there's the emotional aspect. But we are much more than a treatment, a pill, or a result that forms a statistic. The emotional factor permeates our health, whether we have the virus or not. Our immune system is closely linked to our emotional well-being. And if you're also a Capricorn and a bit grumpy like me, phew. Many things influence our health, so, be prepared for a hug.
