Several factors—emotional, social, and personal—come into play. "We are people, not just recipients of medication. And that's not even mentioning the added worry of not being able to access the medication," says Lucas Gutiérrez, author of the scripts and collaborator with Jon Amarillo, who is in charge of the art for this comic that vividly portrays what it's like to live with HIV.
