Esteban Paulón, Undersecretary of Sexual Diversity Policies, said that the opening of the Santa Fe LGBTI House aims to give physical form to visibility: “We believe it is important that, in addition to discussing and promoting LGBTI policies, there are physical spaces where visibility can be realized. Furthermore, the idea is to coordinate actions with other social organizations in the city,” he added. Mother Mermaid, a mural paying tribute to the LGBT community, by the Santa Fe visual artist, Pablo Sánchez, painted inside the Santa Fe LGBT House.  This is the third LGBTI Center to open in the province, following similar initiatives in Rosario and Venado Tuerto. It will operate in a renovated old house located at 1701 San José Street (corner of Monseñor Zaspe), across from the Mitre Railway Park, where a historic brothel once operated. Paulón stated that similar centers are planned to open next year in Reconquista and Rafaela. The center features a library with specialized materials on diversity, sexuality, and human rights; a documentation center; an auditorium with a capacity of 80 people; and a multipurpose room. It will also serve as the administrative headquarters for the Undersecretariat of Sexual Diversity Policies. The inauguration, which will be led by the governor of Santa Fe, Miguel Lifschtz, will take place today, Tuesday, December 26th at 7:00 PM, at San José 1701, Santa Fe.]]>
