Regarding making her personal situation public, she said, “I’m doing this to offer support to everyone going through this. You can move forward, regardless of the circumstances. It’s difficult to cope. I had a life and started the process late. I felt like my world was going to collapse and I was going to lose everything. That’s why I needed support, and I found it in MOVILH and my partner’s family.” She also called on trans people to “make the decision and not let themselves be trampled on.”  For his part, Rolando Jiménez said: “She wanted to make the fact visible in order to educate the trans population that it is possible to advance in dignity and respect, among other things, by making this legal change.”
