A national day of action for the freedom of Higui de Jesús

On May 17, the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, a national day of action will be held for the freedom and acquittal of Higui de Jesús, Eva Analía “Higui” de Jesús, imprisoned since October 2016, accused of homicide after she defended herself against an attempted gang rape and fatally wounded one of her attackers.

The call for applicationsThe protest, launched by her family and the Front of Organizations for the Freedom and Acquittal of Higui, is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. at the San Martín Courts (Ricardo Balbín 1753 (Route 8)), to repudiate the ruling of Judge Raúl Luchelli Ramos. who denied his release from prison ten days ago.[READ ALSO: The demands for Higui and Nicole crossed the Andes ]
“We are moving forward, now more than ever, with the call that came out of the Justice for Higui Working Group, of which the family and different organizations are part, for a National Day,” said Carolina Abregú, former head of the Gender Defense Office of Malvinas Argentinas and now a member of the Furia Feminista group.
